Another week down and only one left to go in 2021. It was business as usual, which means a lot of Galaxy S22 leaks.
We saw official cases for the Galaxy S22 and S22 Ultra, as well as a look at the new S Pen. We saw the Galaxy S22 series dummies pictured side by side for scale, as well as a reported official poster for the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
We learned that all three S22 models will have glass backs, as opposed to last year's series, where only the Ultra was all glass. Finally, the Galaxy S21 FE is expected to become official on January 3 and launch on the 11. The upcoming phone was briefly listed on Samsung Ireland's website.
Huawei's P50 Pocket is official and it's one hot clamshell foldable phone. It's got a 6.9-inch 120Hz main foldable display and a round 1.04-inch outer AMOLED display. It's powered by a Snapdragon 888 with 4G and a 4,000mAh battery. The main camera has a 40MP sensor and there's a 13MP ultrawide unit to keep it company. The P50 Pocket comes in a single 8/256GB trim and retails for CNY 8,988. First sales in China starting this week.
Pete Lau confirmed the OnePlus 10 Pro is coming in January. We know it will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 phone and expect a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate.
Those are the key stories of the week. See you next year!
Since the official renders are already out, it shouldn't be too long before Garmin introduces these wearables.
The new phones will also be able to shoot 8K videos, suitable to view on Apple’s upcoming AR/VR headset.
Samsung changed lanes - from the plastic, utilitarian Galaxy S5 to the sleek Galaxy S6 - and sacrificed multiple features to get there.
Perhaps the Moto G200 didn't leave any room for the Edge S30. But if Moto gets the pricing right, the Edge X30 will be a hit.
